From AI Ambition to Value
Turning AI ambition into business value
Enablement creates the conditions to use AI well.
Adoption shows whether it is becoming part of the work.
Value depends on what improves as a result.
I’ve brought those distinctions into this leadership framework through two sets of choices: how leaders shape organizational outcomes, and how they strengthen their own understanding and judgment.
For organizations, that means defining the outcome, assigning an accountable owner and deciding where saved capacity will go. Ambitious goals bring end-to-end workflows into scope. Involving the people doing the work, being clear about how roles may change, and building skills and governance into the redesign are part of those choices.
For a leader evaluating agentic AI, building and testing an agent with guidance can make the decisions more tangible. Seeing where it performs reliably, where it struggles and when a person needs to intervene can sharpen investment decisions. That experience should also inform conversations with the people whose work will change.
If you’re weighing where to start or what to scale with AI, I’d welcome a chat about it, let's share experiences and learn from each other.
